Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on Roseanne, an ABC sitcom Roseanne. Perry was forbidden to perform in front of her family until an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might cause. Perry shy and shy for acting in high school, started to act in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Following her graduation, Perry went to New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California which is where she discovered acting work. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry starred in nine episodes in 2016 of ABC's show The Family. Her father played her on the ABC Drama Scandal. The same year, she appeared as a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother in a younger version. The role was given an audition to the actress, despite the fact that she was a cousin to the character.
